Freemasons' receives glowing review in The Guardian

16 Jul 2012

Freemasons received a fantastic review from The Guardian's Bob Granleese on Saturday (14 July).

Referring to the pub's cuisine as 'thoughtful, generous - and all too rare', Steve is 'thrilled to have received such recognition from a national newspaper'.

The review praises the 'genuinely welcoming front-of-house team' as well as the food, stating that 'Smith clearly knows his onions, but you get the sense that he's reining himself in here to avoid scaring off the locals. That's a good thing. We've quite enough ego-tripping chefs to be going on with, thank you.'
