Freemasons at Wiswell an Inspectors’ Favourite in this year’s Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide

The Freemasons at Wiswell has retained its place in this year’s Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide and has also been selected as one of the Inspectors’ favourites, highlighting it as an establishment worthy of additional consideration.

This year’s guide recommends pubs across the country, selecting them first and foremost for the quality of their food.

Each entry in the guide features a colour photo and an in-depth description, along with examples of typical dishes, a list of real ales served and whether they have bedrooms. Opening times, prices and directions are also included, as well as regional maps and indexes by both pub and town name.

It has been a year of accolades for chef patron Steven Smith and the team at The Freemasons, having recently kept its place in The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants, in association with Harden’s, for the second year in succession, recognised as the cheapest place to eat on the list and taking first place in The Waitrose Good Food Guide’s Top 50 Pubs. The Freemasons was also the first pub in history to receive a coveted seven out of 10.

The quality of the Freemasons extensive food and wine menu has established the country inn as one of the North’s top dining destinations, a status Steven and the team are determined to build on next year.
