Freemasons retains Michelin Bib Gourmand

07 Oct 2011

Freemasons at Wiswell has retained the Michelin Bib Gourmand for a second consecutive year.

The accolade is awarded to restaurants serving ‘good food at moderate prices’ and Freemasons was one of only two in Lancashire, the other being Twelve in Thornton, to be recognised.

Only 129 restaurants throughout the UK now hold the distinction, with several losing the status after just nine months on publication of the 2012 Michelin Guide this week.

Chef-patron Steven Smith said: “This is great news again and a reward for all the hard work our team put in week-in, week-out. This keeps us very much on track to fulfilling all our goals and dreams at Freemasons and it is very important to us that our loyal customers, as well as the Michelin Guide, see us as excellent value-for-money for the standard of food we produce.”
