Freemasons named Best Newcomer in North West in Great British Pub Awards 2010

20 Aug 2010

The Freemasons Country Inn has been named Best North West Newcomer in the Great British Pub Awards 2010.

To reach the finals, at a ceremony in London's Hilton Hotel, Freemasons had to pass a paper judging round before being visited by an industry expert.

Chef/patron Steven Smith said: "Of course we were disappointed not to win the national title but this is still good recognition of our achievements. We were the only establishment in the category that had only been going for 12 months, too, so that is another achievement."
