Freemasons at Wiswell has been named the Lancashire Life Dining Pub of the Year.
Chef-patron Steven Smith and his team fought off competition from throughout the country to land this prestigious title, sponsored by Villeroy and Boch and run by magazine, Lancashire Life.
The magazine stated: "Renovated and reopened two years ago by chef patron Steven Smith, this rambling inn is ranked one of the top 15 dining pubs in the UK. Decorated with antiques, it offers elegant dining without formality. The menus are innovative and do justice to the wealth of local produce. It won Best Newcomer in the Publican Awards and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand."
Steven said: "It's great to receive recognition for serving high end food in a pub setting, and even better to hear that we are considered the best in Lancashire. We firmly believe that a true gastronomic experience, in unpretentious surroundings but with warm and professional service, is the most enjoyable way to dine out."
