Freemasons look back on 2015
From being officially named the Best Pub in the prestigious Good Food Guide in August to quite literally bringing home the bacon in the Dingley Dell charity BBQ competition, 2015 has been eventful and a journey for all involved in the running of Freemasons.
April saw us placed in the Top 40 UK Restaurants by the esteemed Observer Food Monthly, thanks to a nomination from Sticky Walnut chef Gary Usher, who kindly gave Steven the title of ‘Pudding Wizard’!
For the second year in a row we retained our place at the very top of the Good Food Guide’s Top 50 Pubs, as well as being placed in their list of Top 50 Restaurants in the UK. Our lovely Front of House Manager Aga was shortlisted for the Front of House Manager Award in the Morning Advertiser’s Top 50 Gastro Pubs 2016.
Alongside all these achievements we hosted and participated in a selection of food events, including East Meets West, where Steven cooked with head chef of the Yu Alderley Edge, Victor Yu to create a culinary journey within the menu.
To top off a successful year, we delivered our delicious Christmas and New Year’s menus. After some brilliant achievements in 2015, we would like to wish all of our customers and friends a Happy New Year – we look forward to seeing you soon!
