Steven Smith - Chef/ Patron

Agnieszka Tyczka - Front of House Manager
Agnieszka or Aga as we like to call her comes with top credentials having worked at several Michelin starred restaurants, including The Vineyard in Berkshire. Aga is our floor manager and also Steven's partner which means that the front and back of house run with complete synergy.
Richard Dixon - Head of Pastry
Richard (Archie) Dixon has been placed in charge of desserts after impressing Steven with not just his skills in the kitchen but his focused and professional attitude. Before joining Freemasons in 2010, Archie spent 10 years working alongside the likes of John Rudden of Grassington House. After a brief break, Archie joined Steven and the team and has rekindled his love of food.
Matthew Horsfall - Sous Chef
After serving a three-year apprenticeship at Northcote, and moving on to work for Shire Inns and then Heathcotes, Matthew arrived at Freemasons in early 2010 as senior chef de partie. His ability to produce consistent results under pressure prompted Steven to promote Matthew to Sous Chef and he was chosen as one of the Lancashire Tourist Board’s HotShors for 2011.
Stuart Roberts – Head Barman
Stuart has spent 18 years in management roles within the pub trade, having graduated from the East Midland Regional Centre of Excellence at the age of 18. He went on to work for a number of companies such as Yates’s and Vintage Inns. Stuart grew up in Blackburn and has returned to his roots after eight years in Brighton to be nearer his family.
Becci Williams - Hostess
Becci is the friendly face of Freemasons at Wiswell. A resident of the village, Becci was part of the original new team at Freemasons and makes a welcome return to the fold after working in other local food establishments.
