Freemasons included in Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide

23 Sep 2012

Freemasons has been included in the new Michelin guide for Eating Out in Pubs as one of only five Inspector's Favourites in the North West.
The guide reads: "Service counts for little if the food's not right; but, again, here the Freemasons comes up trumps. Chef Steven Smith likes to create modern versions of traditional pub dishes; think good old chicken Kiev reborn as organic chicken breast and Kiev with potato puree, wild mushrooms and thyme; or trifle: not as your mother made it, but with Pedro Ximinez jelly, baked quince and Madeleines."
Chef/patron Steven Smith said: "It's great to be on the Michelin radar and fantastic to be chosen as an Inspector's Favourite. Hopefully this will be a stepping stone to achieving some of our goals. There was only one other Inspector's Favourite in Lancashire, so this shows how much progress we have made in 12 months."
