Freemasons are proud to announce their seventh consecutive annual celebration of British Game. Come and join us for the week long celebration and see Chef Patron Steven Smith and his team work their magic with our country’s finest game produce.

The Freemasons Game Week will launch on Wednesday 25th November with the scrumptious Lancashire on a Plate evening. This event is all about showcasing some of finest and freshest Lancashire talent, these chefs are the future of Lancashire and the ‘ones to watch’! Freemasons own Head Chef ‘H’, along with Matthew Horsfall who used to be Sous Chef to Freemasons and is now Head Chef of The Eagle at Barrow, Tom Parker Head chef of the White Swan at Fence and finally Rob Geldeard, Head chef from the Higher Buck Inn Waddington completes this extraordinary line up. Freemasons Patron Chef Steven Smith is extremely excited about overseeing the night and watching these talented chefs shine.

We were all there once and its not an easy life, it requires full time, hard work, commitment and dedication”. Next up on Thursday is the intriguing 'South African Game Versus English Game' where the very best game dishes and matched wines from both countries will be showcased. The much welcomed, highly esteemed Conor Toomey, Head chef at Storrs Hall Hotel, Windermere will be joining Steven Smith in a spectacular ‘cook off’. Conor originally from South Africa, will go head to head with Steven in passionate friendly culinary rivalry, to deliver exceptional and imaginative dishes for you to decide which country is triumphant. With the Rugby World cup in full flow no doubt there will be some steaming rivalry to see who can produce the best dishes on behalf of their native country! With a heady mix of extraordinary culinary expertise and competitive juices flowing, at £60 per person this is not a night to be missed!

On Friday it will be the truly spectacular Game Seasonal Menu, which will be a tribute to the Freemasons being crowned number one in the Waitrose Good Food Guide’s Top 50 UK Pubs for the second year in a row and being the first and only pub in Great Britain to be awarded a coveted 7/10 in the history of the Good Food Guide. This will be a truly unique opportunity to enjoy three courses celebrating the finest British Game for only £15! - *SOLD OUT*

Saturday night will be a bespoke tasting menu of Stevens personal favourite game dishes at 4 courses for £50, this will run alongside the usual A'La Carte Menu.
